Ashley Meara is an ecologist, photographer, and PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, stoked on science and every opportunity for adventure, from the mountains to depths 40 meters below the surface. She has a degree in Marine Ecology from the University of San Diego and the knowledge about the underwater world to discuss important topics relating to conservation and the environment. Growing up constantly outdoors ignited a passion for the beauty in the complexities of the natural world, that drives her appreciation of the ocean and pursuit of a career in research and scientific communication. She can most often be found exploring, camera in hand across all terrain, new fascinating corners of the world, diving, backpacking, and surfing. Ashley is currently based on the small island of Utila, off the coast of mainland Honduras.
